It was early September, me and my friends went to Jaya One, PJ, for sushi king RM2 per plate promotion. We were so excited, but so disappointed when we found out that the deal finished in the month of August. So we had to find others. Instead of Sushi King, we went to Duck King! (Yes, we still go to "King..")
Probably we were attracted to this board? Whole Roasted Dang Gui Duck for RM 38 nett?
So we went it and started to order as all was super hungry that evening. To our surprise, the waitress told us that we had to pay RM38 cash upfront. Oh, so no credit cards allowed? We need to pay cash to secure our duck from swimming away? Haha..
And we had to pay that RM38, just for that duck, after making orders.
Deng..deng.. deng.., then the duck came..of course not by itself but served by a waitress..
The portion didn't look that big, but actually it was very big! There were 5 of us, and i feel that ate most duck that it's enough for my 1-year quota!
There was a little of herb smell, the Chinese Dang Gui, but it's totally not that strong. I would prefer the strong one, especially with the Herb in sauce. The meat texture was just nice, the skin was crispy, and i would say, it was not superb, but it was standard. With the promotion price, it was really worth.

Whole Roasted Duck |
I like this the most. It was served hot, with crispy skin and soft inner part. The salt and pepper coated equally and nicely on each golden piece. It was not served with fancy sauce, but i think the chef just put an adequate amount of salt and pepper on it. It was neither too salty nor spicy. With some spring onion and chopped chilies as decoration, when biting it, the salt and pepper just melt together in my mouth.

We ordered the mix vegetables, stir-fry of lotus root with black fungus, celery and other mix vegetables.

This is called : Fire burn "Zhu Ba Jie" (in Mandarin) or "Zhu Bat Gai" (in Cantonese). What a funny and attractive name. But the taste was very nice!
