2nd Malaysia Cocoa and Chocolate Fair, Mid Valley

Malaysia Cocoa and Chocolate Day for everyone -free admission, was held again on 7th to 9th October in Mid Valley Megamall. This is a great chance for you to know more chocolate maker/ factories especially in Malaysia.
The First Malaysia Cocoa and Chocolate Day was held on 15th to 17th October 2010 in Mid Valley Megamall too. To read more about the First Malaysia Cocoa and Chocolate Day, click here.

This year, the exhibition area was smaller, but the products displayed, for me, were better.
It was held concurrently with KLPF 2011, Kuala Lumpur Photography Festival 2011. Their website: www.klpf.com.my
Compare to Malaysia Cocoa and Chocolate Fair, Kuala Lumpur Photography Festival had more visitors and media press. I guess that's because of more happening and more "hot girls"!
Anyone who is interested shouldn't miss the next photography festival, don't misunderstand, i mean interested in getting professional camera sets at promotional package, k..!!

However, I am a chocolate lover, so i headed to the Malaysia Cocoa and Chocolate Day first.

There was a booth for Raw Cocoa fruit free tasting. Believed it or not, it's sour before processing into chocolate!

The pakcik was cutting a fresh cocoa fruit for us.

Another stall gave out free hot Chocolate drink! Delfi Chocolate. It tasted very yummy. But the product is not in the market yet! The promoter mentioned that the Delfi Cocoa powder will only be available in Malaysia market the next year, most probably in January 2012.

So they treated me a freshly made chocolate cake, fresh from the oven. It looked like Coeur Fondant, a type of French dessert. It didn't look that tempting, but i believe, the cocoa powder perfect everything.
Coeur Fondant means melted heart in french. It is normally called as Molten Chocolate Cake.
They served the chocolate cake with Blueberry sauce. But i prefer the taste without blueberry. The hot chocolate just melted in my mouth, yummy yummy!

This small slice of chocolate was nice too. It's soft, a little cold as it's just out of fridge, coated with cocoa powder.

The new item this year, the Hottest Angry Bird! Erm, angry bird is printed on chocolate so that you can eat them when you are angry? This is an innovative business owner!

There was a booth at the far end from Lembaga Koko, selling food such as: Cakes, Waffles, chocolate drinks, etc named Koko Bistro.
This booth was not crowded, maybe they didn't give free sampling. But the food served was excellent.
Oh for sure i can't resist the temptation. I bought a piece of Tiramishu. It's nicely presented, except the plate.
It's only cost at RM7 per piece! This is the best Tiramishu for the year! I never regret buying this.
And, it's accompanied by a piece of dark chocolate!

Paddington House of Pancake

Chocolate fondue is nice. Slices of fruits and pastry dipped into hot melted chocolate. It tastes best for me, when sour fruits combine with sweet chocolate. It will just melt your heart.
Eating chocolate fondue is enjoying. You can dip anything according to your DIY if you do it at home. You can choose variety of food for dipping. You can dip any amount of chocolate according to your own preference. Eating chocolate fondue when the weather is cold is even nicer as it will warm you up. It's not only enjoying but also relaxing, and romantic. You can chat or read while dipping.

Me and the prince went to Paddington House of Pancake at Mid Valley for tea break.

A set of Chocolate Fondue from Paddington House of Pancake

We ordered this chocolate fondue, but i have forgotten the exact name of it. The chocolate fondue consists of:
1. mini-coin size of pancake
2. fruits such as strawberry and peach
3. a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and
4. marshmallow

Fruits and pancake for Chocolate Fondue

This is the hot melted chocolate. It's melted and heated up by using candle. You can see the blowing bubble. They must have mixed something besides chocolate chips. The sweetness is just nice. But the portion is obviously not enough for us, the chocolate lovers.

Singapore Food: NYDC, New York Dessert Cafe

There are a few NYDC branches in Singapore, including: Holland village, Wheelock Place, Velocity, Tampines 1, Bedok Point, and the one i visited is at Bugis Junction.
It's not the brand that attracts me to dine in NYDC New York Dessert Cafe, but the cake displayed outside! They are awesomely tempting!

Mushroom pizza (forgotten the exact name of it),

I have forgotten the name of this too, but i remembered the fresh juicy mushroom taste very well!

My Favourite cheesecake: Goldmine cheesecake,

It's described as New York Cheesecake with chocolate chunks, slathered with irresistible chocolate fudge topping and the Oreo cookie crust! yummy!

I am looking forward to the next visit, especially the Pecan pie, or The Big "O" Cheesecake, or even Goldmine Cheesecake again..!

Malaysia Cocoa And Chocolate Day 2010

A ChocolatY Fairy-TaLeS Day not only for the Prince and the Princess, but also for ALL, held in Mid Valley Shopping Centre, from 15th to 17th October 2010.

There is a clown welcoming small kids by giving out Cartoon's balloon.

There are really alot of chocolate products, mostly Malaysian brand from Malaysia Entrepreneur, which you never hear before. There are chocolate samples anywhere for testing, and interesting chocolate product you have never seen before in the market.

A chocolate fountain. It's fun dipping a biscuit stick into the flowing chocolate fountain.

Raw chocoa fruit on display, and believe it or not, the fruit tastes like Mangosteen.

Homemade chocolate.

These chocolates are nicely arranged inside a sea-shell chocolate box.

Cupcakes.

Wondering what is the chocolate for? The flowing chocolate is not only for display..

There is a special time where the officer from Lembaga Koko will dip a normal wafer biscuit, with this melty milky chocolate.

It looks so normal, but the taste answers why is the queue so long.

There are alot of chocolate side-products, mere original ideas from young entrepreneur.

A self-deco chocolate bar.

Handmade chocolate used in Malay's wedding to welcome wedding guests.

A chocolate lollipop with own choice of pictures.

Chocolate Tiramishu and Strawberry readily made cake.

A chocolate-decorated Apple.
