Mid Valley for Chinese New Year 2012

After Big Christmas Trees with garden for Christmas, Mid Valley is now decorated with Tang Lung for coming Chinese New Year. The decoration for Chinese New Year this year is simple, but there are lots of art and decoration items from China.

There are grass art, (not sure what is the exact name in English), but Shi Fu uses grass to make animal like beetle, snake, dragon, crocodile, etc.

There are some frame item for decoration such as: Bamboo Carving Art, Paper Cutting, Gold Paper Carving Art, Drawing, Sewing, and others.

One of the amazing art is statue art, with on-the-spot demonstration. The master was using something like clay for the face and then did some make-up for the statue completion. Nice and it looks so real!

The counters really attracted lots of people for this coming Chinese New Year decoration.

Malaysia Food Fair 2012, Mid Valley

Malaysia Food Fair 2012: the foodshow you can't miss. It was held on the previous weekend, 6th to 8th January, in conjunction with KL Wedding Expo 2012 at Mid Valley Convention Centre.

The area for this food fair was not that big, but seriously, there were not only food, but other interesting new items were displayed there. Besides booth, there were: Lucky draw, Buy and win contest, and Cooking demonstration at selected time.

What were the items sold there? Mostly there were new packaged food and bottled drink like: Ayam Dindings (with the biggest signboard), Bottled Honey Sea Coconut; Dega Continental- the First made in Malaysia Iranian food; Junk food like mister potato and Korean Junk food Okarto; milk poweder; green tea; almond drink; English Classic Ginger drink; Sweeto Coconut Jelly; biscuits, Made in Malaysia Chocolate etc.

Zun Kitchenette, Sunway Giza by Eu Yan Sang

Now, they have expanded from selling high quality TCM products in nice packaging, to food industry. Instead of boiling your own soup, you can now visit Eu Yan Sang Restaurant for the readily cooked healthy meal and chinese soup!

Zun Kitchenette, by Eu Yan Sang Heritage, has now 4 branches:

We visited Zun Kitchenette a.k.a Eu Yan Sang Heritage at Sunway Giza mall.

First, we ordered Herbal Egg. I highly recommend this, the Herbal Egg.

But look at their fork, the shape is special, with a cut. I guess the function is for peeling the egg shield.

For main course, we ordered each of these: Rice in Goby Fish Soup and American Ginseng, Chicken Braised in Wine with Yi Mu Cao, and meat chop. The taste of the main course is not strong enough, i think it's because they use natural ingredients to cook without MSG.

Besides healthy meal, you can order Bird Nest dessert, or boiled chinese soup with herbs. Having no hassle to boil it yourself at home, it's totally as healthy as the home-boil soup.

Happy New Year 2012- Countdown Celebration

Last night, it was still 2011. And now, it's 2012! Yeah, this will be a brand new year for all of us..

Last night we decided to go Tropicana City Mall, just for the fireworks. And our first dream in the new year comes true! Last night there was an amazing Fireworks Show! This is the first time i see the fireworks twist in the sky and wish us, yes, Happy 2012!

Besides fireworks, there were other programs such as Street Magician, Clown, Face Painting, Raging Mechanical Bull Rider, Belly Dance and performance by Hannah Tan!
